How it started…..

I’m Elliot, and I started Slapdash Choir because I wanted to create a space where singing is simple, fun, and most importantly, accessible. No need to read sheet music or audition, and you definitely don’t have to be a pro. The goal is to get people singing together, tapping into their creativity, and building a community around music. Nothing more than that!

I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember. The endorphins of singing have always surged through my blood, and I reckon it sucks that there aren’t more spaces to gently facilitate the discovery of singing together. An accessible community space to come together and learn something new.

We keep it easy. The songs are simple, catchy, and designed to be learned in just a few minutes. From feel-good pop hits to world music and other hidden gems, there’s always something new to try. You won’t find any complicated harmonies or complicated rules—just a “repeat after me” vibe, and we’re off!

So, if you’re up for singing without the pressure, meeting new people, and having a laugh while you’re at it—Slapdash Choir is your place. No need to be perfect. Just come and make some noise with us.
